The Aroma Phyto Studio websites (aroma-phyto-studio.com/studio) (the “Websites”) and application programming interface (the “API”) are made available to you by the publisher (the “Publisher”), Geert De Vuyst, SIRET 44455517100057, 2 Rue d’Austerlitz, F‑31000 Toulouse, France, under the following conditions.
Together, the Websites, the API, and any related features or services are together referred to as the “Service”.

The Service
The Service consists of an online, science‑based and human‑curated knowledge hub that consolidates essential information on essential oils, aromatherapy, and phytotherapy into a single structured resource for semi‑professional and professional users. It provides a data model, search and browsing features, and related tools that present curated information on plants, plant extracts, chemical constituents, quality assessment, and supporting scientific publications in an accessible and practical way.

The information provided by the Service is for information purposes only and may be changed at any time without prior notice. While the Publisher has prepared the Service with great care, the Publisher accepts no liability for any damage resulting from misinterpretation, inaccuracies, or incompleteness of the information provided.
The Publisher cannot be held responsible for the content or availability of any external websites to which hyperlinks are provided, nor for any other information published or mentioned in the Service that originates from third parties.

The Aroma Phyto Studio is made available as an online information service accessible via secure HTTPS connections at the URL specified on the About page and related documentation, and through a documented application programming interface (API) made available over HTTPS. Access to all basic human‑readable pages and to the API is provided free of charge to users, subject to compliance with these Terms of Use, any applicable API usage conditions (including any rate limits and API key requirements), and any applicable laws.
No Access Fees
At the time of publication of these Terms, the operator of the Aroma Phyto Studio does not charge any subscription fee or usage fee for accessing the human‑readable pages of the Studio over HTTPS. The operator reserves the right to introduce or modify pricing, access models, or registration requirements in the future, provided that any such changes will not retroactively affect rights validly acquired under the Creative Commons license applicable to the content.
Technical Conditions
Users are responsible for obtaining and maintaining their own internet connection, compatible devices, and software necessary to access the Aroma Phyto Studio via HTTPS. The operator does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and may suspend, limit, or modify access to the Studio for maintenance, security, or operational reasons at any time.
API access and usage
API availability
All data objects of the Aroma Phyto Studio are accessible via a documented application programming interface (API) made available over HTTPS. The API is offered free of charge for permitted uses, subject to these Terms of Use and any applicable rate limits or operational constraints.
API key requirement
Use of the API requires a valid API key issued by the operator of the Aroma Phyto Studio. API keys are personal or project‑specific credentials and must be requested following the procedure described in the Developer Guide or related documentation.
Use of API keys
Holders of an API key are responsible for all activity carried out using their key and must keep their credentials confidential. The operator may revoke, suspend, or limit an API key at any time in case of misuse, security concerns, or excessive load on the service.
Rate limits and quotas
While the API is provided free of charge, the operator may apply technical measures such as rate limiting, quota, or other usage controls to ensure stability and fair usage of the Service. The operator reserves the right to modify or discontinue free API access or to introduce paid tiers in the future, without affecting rights already granted under the applicable Creative Commons license for the content.
Relationship with open access policy
Free technical access
The Aroma Phyto Studio provides free technical access to its human‑readable pages via HTTPS and to its API, subject to the conditions set out in these Terms of Use. This free access operates alongside, and does not limit or replace, the open access policy under which the content of the Aroma Phyto Studio is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution‑ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY‑SA 4.0).
Licensing and reuse obligations
Users are required to distinguish between, on the one hand, the absence of fees for accessing the Service and its API, and, on the other hand, the licensing terms that govern any reuse, sharing, reproduction, or adaptation of the content obtained through the Service.
